Transgender and gender non binary workers struggle with unique discrimination and harassment in the job market and the workplace. Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility, a day focused on bringing representation to transgender people across the world. Nonetheless, transgender and gender non-conforming workers are still discriminated against.
Trans workers are often unable to embrace visibility without risking their livelihood, and are frequently forced to disclose their identity against their wishes by corporate policies Trans and gender non binary workers face harassment for just being themselves.
The Workers March stands with all transgender and gender-diverse workers. We support the fundamental rights of trans people including safe environments, inclusive workplaces, a living wage, and trans inclusive healthcare.
Workers’ rights are all rights, and all rights are workers’ rights. We stand united in solidarity.
